On Oct. 27, 2016, Life Care Center of Columbia, Tennessee, held its annual Fall Senior Fair.

More than 100 seniors from the community attended the event. Twenty health care vendors participated by having booths to share information about their businesses and the services offered to seniors. Vendors included home health care, hospice, medical equipment and assisted living (The Bridge at Columbia) organizations.

Life Care Center of Columbia nurse managers Shannon Francis and Barb Knox provided blood pressure and blood sugar checks, and Sandy Hollis, director of rehab services, provided Biodex balance screenings.

Members of the management team served tasty seasonal treats in the Preston Café, and vendors gave away door prizes at the end.

“This was the fourth year we have held the event, and each year has grown in attendance,” said Vanessa Purdom. “Many of our attendees have shared, as I have seen them out in the community, how much they appreciate that we hold the event every year for them to attend.”
