When Georgia Love fell and suffered a wedge compression fracture in her lumbar vertebra, she was limited in her mobility.
Love came to Life Care Center of Columbia, Tennessee, for help in regaining her independence. Physical, occupational and speech therapists worked with her on strengthening exercises, balance, activities of daily living, transfers (such as from a bed to a chair) and cognitive and safety strategies.
“I love these girls,” Love said about her therapists. “This was my home away from home.”
“Georgia is a pleasure to work with, and everyone here knows that they are loved by Granny Love,” said Meagan Graham, physical therapist assistant.
Love returned to her assisted living facility on Oct. 1, able to walk with a four-wheel walker.
