After having a hip replacement, Nancy Still needed maximum assistance with her activities of daily life and some help with walking.
Still came to Life Care Center of Columbia, Tennessee, for rehabilitation on Sept. 9, 2019. Physical, occupational and speech therapists worked with her six days a week to help her reach her goal of returning home independent.
Therapists used cognitive strategies, strengthening exercises, gait training and transfer training to help Still regain her mobility and ability to take care of herself.
“Nancy was a hard worker and always strived to do her best,” said Meagan Graham, physical therapist assistant.
Still returned home on Sept. 23 with family support, able to return to her prior level of function.
“They had very friendly and helpful rehab staff,” Still said about her therapy experience.
